Happy Holidays! Here are some HRS staff favorites!

We wanted to take a moment and wish you Happy Holidays! We hope that you enjoy time with family and have plans for good food and maybe even some games as we wrap up the year. Thank you for being part of our story in 2021!

As we continue to enjoy the holiday season, we thought an appropriate story for this week would be about holiday favorites! We asked our entire staff what their favorites for movie, treat and song were and the answers are below. Enjoy! (And feel free to respond in the comments with your 3 favs!)

1) What is your favorite holiday movie

Amy: The Holiday
Caitlin: Tie between The Santa Clause and The Holiday
Carrie: The Holiday
Chris: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Jason: Elf
Kandy: Santa Clause (Original)
Oretta: White Christmas
Paul: Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Amy: Homemade peanut clusters.
Caitlin: Salty/sweet homemade Chex mix and Peanut butter cup cookies.
Carrie: I love all of the seasonal flavors that come out, not really one thing specifically but all the fun new flavors you only find once a year.
Chris: Cheesecake.
Jason: My mom’s frosted sugar cookies. And my wife’s Carmelitas.
Kandy: My mom always made what we called sticky buns. They were cinnamon rolls (homemade not out of a can) with caramel and nuts all over the top. She would put the caramel and nuts in the bottom of the pan then add the unbaked cinnamon rolls. She would put the pan in the oven to bake. Then take them out and flip the pan over onto a serving plate with the sticky gooey side up. We ate sticky buns and drank hot chocolate while opening presents. YUM!
Oretta: The spice cookies you find in the bags with red and green sprinkles. (I like to dunk them in my milk and let the sprinkles turn my milk different colors!) Also, peanut butter blossoms.
Paul: White Chocolate covered pretzels and Roasted/Candied Nuts.
