Posted by The time for spring cleaning has arrived! This is the time of year that many people have plenty of items to recycle or dispose of. Some of them can be put out in bins at your curbside. While others, like glass or hazardous materials need to be disposed of differently.
For residents of the Kansas City metropolitan area, numerous recycling centers are available to facilitate responsible waste disposal. Every recycling location has their own hours of operation. They also have different rules for what they will accept for recycling. We recommend that you call the nearest recycling center to ask questions about your specific recycling needs.
For example, if you want to dispose of batteries, paint, old gas, etc, you will need to schedule an appointment for hazardous waste items. If you want to dispose of a bunch of glass, you will want to find a nearby Ripple Glass recycling bin. Links for both of these needs are below!
